Luz Harmon (b. Edwin Luzon Harmon IV, 2001) is a multidisciplinary artist and independent curator based in Brooklyn, NY.
Harmon's studio practice employs painting, sculpture, and film to explore how identity and subjectivity affect the body. Informed by coming-of-age experiences, his work challenges the idea of a fixed self, creating figurative images that ask viewers to confront their physical form as something distorted and constantly shifting.
As an independent curator, Luz takes a collaborative approach to exhibition-making, creating meaningful dialogues between artists and the next generation of patrons. His curatorial projects often focus on cultural memory and challenging fixed notions of Black identity.
His work has been included in exhibitions at Super Chief Gallery, DDP Design Center, BASE Milano, The Bishop Gallery, Anderson Contemporary, Art Share LA, Aziz Gallery, The Fowler Museum, & The Javits Convention Center.
Past curatorial projects include "All That Remains, Residue" at the Bishop Gallery (New York)  &  "Blaq Sheep" at Super Chief Gallery (Los Angeles)
